About the indicator

Total greenhouse gas emissions converted into CO2 equivalent: carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and fluorinated gases, including emissions from land use and agriculture. The conversion uses 100-year global warming potentials. For countries with large agriculture this indicator runs substantially above emissions of CO2 alone.
