The share of people aged 18 and over with a body mass index of 25 kg/m² and above. The threshold of 25 separates normal weight from excess weight, and this indicator includes everyone who is obese as well — that is, it is always larger than the obesity indicator rather than complementing it. The difference between the two series is the share of people with excess weight but without obesity.
Important: It includes obesity, so the two indicators cannot be added. The aggregate by group is weighted by the whole population rather than the adult one.
