Measles is more contagious than almost any other infection, and its threshold of herd immunity is higher than the rest — about 95% — so a fall in coverage by a few points brings outbreaks back to countries where the disease was considered beaten. This series shows how coverage sagged in 2020–2021 and where it has not recovered since.
