The largest senders are the United States and the Gulf states, and for the latter the flow is enormous relative to the size of the economy: incomers make up the majority of those working there.
Important: Remittances sent and received should match at the world level, but they do not: some countries do not record the flow, and part of the transfers goes outside the statistics.
